If you want to indulge in the creamy, icy bliss of sundaes, shakes, ice cream cones, banana splits, or waffle cones, then New Prague and its suburbs have an excellent collection of ice cream parlors that’ll make your day. So, when the next time your sweet tooth strikes, here’s a list of some of the most well-known ice cream shops in the area that we’ve compiled for you.

Toody’s Sweet Treats

This five-star rated ice cream shop has very friendly staff and an old-fashioned yet cozy ambiance. You can find many ways to wreck your diet here, and they’re all well worth the guilt. The shop sells delicious soda fountain treats, including malts, shakes, floats, and hand-dipped ice cream cones. It also offers build-your-own sandwiches, Heggies Pizza, hot dogs, homemade cheese bread, pretzels, and daily lunch specials.

This is an excellent location if you visit with family or friends, as it serves giant scoops of delicious ice cream flavors. Its sissy cone, the little one on their menu, is a triple scoop, so be ready to share. The brownie sundae is fantastic and comes with every topping you can think of. If you’re looking for something more conventional, get a shake or malt made the old-fashioned way and so thick that you’d need a spoon to dig in. Also, remember to order Toody’s delicious baked goodies with strong coffee for breakfast.

Coffee Ta Cream

Since it opened at the Shakopee Town Center mall in March 2004, Coffee Ta Cream (CTC) has become a favorite among locals. While CTC is not your average coffee shop or ice cream shop, it provides a wonderful ambiance for you and your family and a large selection of ice creams, varied snacks, specialty coffee beverages, and cafe fare. It believes in providing excellent service and premium products; anything less isn’t what CTC aspires to be.

Bring your laptop or tablet inside and unwind while sipping coffee, eating ice cream, or ordering a pizza. The icing on the cake is that CTC has Superman Ice Cream, just one of three locations in the Twin Cities region selling this delicious flavor.

Scoops Ice Cream & More has an excellent location tucked away in a strip mall for celebrating any post-game triumph across the mini golf course. There are 18 to 20 distinct tastes available and several ways to serve them. The flavors include Sebastian Joe’s, Bridgeman’s, Kemp’s, and Cedarcrest, and they can be served in a classic cone, waffle cone, sugar cone, bowl, or waffle bowl. However, new flavors are continuously being added, so you never know what new ones will be offered when you visit next.

Their prices are also very reasonable. You can get Sebastian Joe’s ice cream for a steal. Moreover, the portion size is also worth your money. It’s undoubtedly one of the best places in the suburbs to find hand-dipped hard ice cream.
