The majority of compact SUVs are mildly off-road-capable, at best. By contrast, the Jeep Compass has long been a class leader off the road and in an affordable, highly customizable package. That applies as much to the inside as it does the outside. Dropping some trim levels, the newly redesigned 2022 Compass offers a posh cabin, intuitive safety and entertainment technology, impressive capability, and a new mid-level trim called the Latitude Lux.

If you’re curious about how it actually feels to sit inside and drive this handy Jeep, as well as which of the now five trim levels might be right for you, try out this guide by Jeff Belzer CDJR New Prague. We’ll examine the 2022 Jeep Compass interior features and dimensions.

2022 Compass Interior Features and Comfort

Seating up to five passengers, the 2022 Jeep Compass is a new small SUV with a streamlined interior and next-level comfort. Even in the base Sport trim level, the high-quality materials put it above comparably priced vehicles. A height-adjustable manual six-way driver’s seat, front passenger fold-forward seat, rear 60/40-split folding seat row, rear seat armrest with a cupholder, and front seat active headrests are just a few examples.

Heated front seats let you relax your muscles or warm up in cold weather, and you’ll find them standard on the 2022 Jeep Compass Restricted, Red, High Altitude, and Latitude Lux trims or optional on the Trailhawk, Altitude, and Latitude trims. Also, the heated steering wheel is optional on the Latitude and Altitude trims but standard on the Limited, Red, and High Altitude trims.

For 2022, the Jeep Compass interior was given a new instrument panel matched with a hand-knitted bolster and slim air conditioner vents. Furthermore, a convenient dual-pane panoramic sunroof is standard on the High Altitude trim and offered as an option on all other models besides the Sport and Red.

2022 Compass Cargo and Storage Spaces

With the new interior design, the door trim and bezels add more detail to the cabin’s strong appearance. It’s not just about visuals, though, as the Compass offers a maximum cargo load volume of 59.8 cubic feet when folding down all available seats. You’ll get up to 27.2 cubic feet behind the rear seats, so you’re sure to have plenty of space for a road trip with four other people. The headroom is 39.2 and 38.5 inches in the front and rear, respectively, while legroom is 31.8 and 38.2 inches and hip room is 54.1 and 49.2 inches.

Cargo tie-down loops, a front console with a sliding armrest, media center electronics storage, an overhead console, and a rear cargo underfloor tray are all standard storage features. The center console has good storage space to arrange such things as sunglasses, coins, and napkins.

2022 Compass Infotainment Systems

There are two infotainment systems to choose from on the Compass. The Uconnect 5 system with an 8.4-inch center stack touch screen is standard on Latitude and Altitude trims of the new Jeep Compass, while the Uconnect 5 system with a 10.1-inch center stack touch screen is standard on Limited, Latitude Lux, Trailhawk, and Red trims. Regardless of your choice, you’ll get to enjoy a cabin that combines comfort, elegance, and refinement, including on the digital side.

Jeep drivers and shoppers can use the available wireless charging pad, front, and rear USB connectivity, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot with a trial membership, and more as part of their 2022 Compass infotainment system. Or keep it simple with the 8.4-inch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For those who truly value a premium listening experience, the 2022 Jeep Compass offers an Alpine premium audio system that plays music through a 12-channel 506-watt amplifier, nine speakers, and a powerful 8-inch subwoofer. Sport S and higher models can be equipped with this feature.

2022 Compass Color Options and Seat Types

When you buy or lease a Jeep like the 2022 Compass, you can expect plush surfaces and a variety of interior color choices to choose from. Black fabric low-back bucket seats are standard on the Sport trim level. Premium cloth and vinyl bucket seats are available in either Black or Steel Gray in the Latitude trim. Premium fabric and vinyl bucket seats are available in Black in the Altitude, and Black leather-trimmed bucket seats are available in the Latitude Lux.

The Trailhawk is offered with premium leather-trimmed bucket seats or premium cloth bucket seats with leather trim in Black and Ruby Red. The Jeep Compass High Altitude offers standard black leather-trimmed bucket seats, as well as a premium version of the same leather.

What’s Inside the 2022 Jeep Compass Latitude Lux?

As a new trim for the year, the Jeep Compass Latitude Lux includes everything found on the previous trim, the Latitude. However, it comes in all-wheel drive, remote start, and 18-inch alloy wheels instead of 17-inch ones. Regarding the Jeep Compass interior features, the Latitude Lux swaps in the larger 10.1-inch touch-screen system, as well as adding heated front seats, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and leather upholstery.

If you want an especially luxurious interior for your Jeep SUV, the Latitude Lux is an affordable, worthwhile upgrade. Feel free to browse different trims and colors for your new Jeep Compass from our New Prague CDJR inventory.
